The objective of the Territories and Health theme is to become a platform for sharing approaches, data, methodologies and skills for those interested in the social, political and environmental dimensions of health territories.
One of the initial objectives of the theme launched in 2012 is to federate people studying the multiple dimensions of territories that interact with health, which until now have been dispersed in multiple research teams, rather poorly connected in terms of discipline, and between researchers and practitioners of health territories who know each other but still do not work in a coordinated manner in France.
The theme thus seeks to bring together different disciplines, beyond geography, around the links between territories and health, but also various profiles: academics, institutional actors, associations, elected officials, members of civil society, etc. Since its creation, the theme has proposed each year different types of activities allowing to meet, to exchange in order to mutualise approaches, data, methodologies and competences and to make projects together in a convivial way around the social, political and environmental dimensions of health territories.
